Hawthorne, NY, United States

Message from CHRISTINA DEGAGLIA:

" Hello my name is Christina and Honey was my everything. We would like everyone to know that love is forever and that animals (not just pets but all animals) are people too. All animals are worthy of life, liberty, safety and happiness. Whenever you see an animal person in need we ask that you help them in honor of Honey. "

Biography

Honey also known as Hun was adopted by me when I was 12 years old from a lady who lived a few streets away. The first night she arrived she slept right next to me and was attached to me from then on. Hun was really more than could be expressed in words. She was my family and the only constant person in my life. My best friend, my baby, my sister and my everything in one. She loved playing with her toys, chasing bubbles, sun bathing, snuggles, food and watching me in my creative endeavors. Her favorite toy was her blue leopard spotted jelly fish. Her favorite blanket was a fleece fairy blanket. She was the best listener although she was very loud, sassy and demanding. Hun loved playing dress up and taking selfies (even before cell phones were a thing). It was always the two of us against the world living our best life. During her life I made a scrap book all about her and she loved to look at this and to watch others look at it because she knew she was the best! The last 5 years of her life she suffered from kidney failure and this was very hard for us. She stayed for me because she knew I did not want her to go. The last birthday I spent with her I heard her say that it was our last one together. Hun was strong, brave, generous, loving, beautiful and perfect. Hun lived for 22 years, passing from kidney failure at her doctor's office in lower Westchester County, NY. She has been cremated and her remains are in a wooden box with her photo on it, as well as in a pendant on a necklace. Ink prints of all 4 paws were also taken. We thank everyone for visiting and taking the time to read Hun's story.
